Browser compatibility
Codec support comes from your browser and operating system. Spotlight runs an import preflight and export capability check because two installations of the same browser can expose different codecs.

| Safari | Optimizer and composer support depends on the codecs exposed by the current macOS or iOS release. File downloads use memory when the save-file picker is unavailable. |
| Firefox | Import and preview vary by platform codec support. Composition export requires WebCodecs video encoding; Spotlight reports unavailable formats before editing. |
For reliable production exports, use the newest stable browser available on your operating system, keep enough free disk space, and prefer direct-to-disk export for long or high-resolution compositions.
